The CRU managed to raise over $2000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society at this event! For the motorcycle portion of this yearly event which includes a peoples choice award for favorite motorcycle, Ty Moore’s Moto Guzzi V7 Racer “Capt Jack” took top honor. At the May Backfire event, a decade old social gathering of Seattles with as many as a 1000+ attendees had the CRU as the headline display, people’s choice show and a fundraiser that raised almost $2500 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Tom Hung and his Ducati Cafe SC1000 took the award.
The CRU, Washington State Moto Guzzi Chapter and Sumerian Brewing teamed up to raise almost $5000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society! With its Moto show, Cossacks drill team display, fine food and beverage hundreds of spectators had an awesome experience.
The CRU partnered with Optimum Performance Rider Training and the Moto Guzzi Club to have a race track experience while raising funds to benefit the families at Vine Maple Place. This huge event was hosted by the NWR Ferrari Club, the CRU owned the motorcycle section where we had a people’s choice show, drawings, prizes and more as we raised money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to the tune of $1970.00! The People’s Choice Award for best motorcycle went to the 1975 Ducati 900 SS owned by Ty Moore.
The CRU (Road Marshall’s) did a great job of Marshaling the CFF Cycle For Life! Together we got 280 cyclists home safe and gifted a bicycle to help Anali stay strong as she lives with CF. Special thanks to the CRU community as when all is said and done we raised over $4300 with the overall event total exceeding $157,000.00 to fund the cure!
